1. Can I get OneNet DSL in my area?

OneNet DSL is available island wide. But there is a chance that your location may not yet be serviceable. Please visit any of our UTS Service Centers to request the OneNet DSL service.


2. How long does it take to get OneNet DSL?

Approximately five working days. During this time, we make the necessary preparations in order to provision your phone line for DSL. Installation steps may vary depending on several factors, including how quickly your line can be qualified, and whether you need to be at home for your service activation date.


3. Can I install OneNet DSL myself?

UTS only offers full installation by UTS or UTS authorized personnel


4. How does the OneNet DSL modem connect to my computer?

The OneNet DSL modem is an external device that connects to your computer's network interface card (NIC) via a standard 10BaseT cable (Ethernet) or to your computer’s USB port.


5. What are the minimum system requirements for the OneNet DSL Service?

For PC:
• 133 MHz (or faster) Pentium-based processor (or equivalent)
• Windows 95b, Windows 98 and 98se, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows NT (4.0 Workstation with Service Pack 3 or higher), and Windows 2000 (no server versions of NT 4 or Windows 2000 supported)
• 32 MB RAM
• 25 MB of available hard disk space
• Installed CD-ROM drive
• All machines should have an installed, functional 10BaseT or better Ethernet interface, or a USB port
• Operating System CD

For Macintosh:
• PowerPC or faster processor
• Mac OS 8 or greater
• Open Transport 1.1.1 enabled
• 32 MB RAM
• 25 MB of available hard disk space
• Installed CD-ROM drive
• All machines should have an installed, functional 10BaseT or better ethernet interface
• Operating System CD
6. I have only one phone jack for my PC and my phone. How can I get my computer connected and still use my phone in that room?

Voice and digital data are separated by a splitter placed at your location where it uses the one phone jack in order to split it for usage of both voice and data. The splitter sends voice transmissions to the telephone, and digital data transmissions to a DSL modem.


7. Am I allowed to make a network with my OneNet DSL Connection?

There are several things that you must be aware of before you decide to create a network:
UTS does not provide network technical support. Support is only for the primary computer on which the OneNet DSL service was installed on.
For the Businesses that are interested in networking their computers on a OneNet DSL connection we offer OneNet Office DSL.


8. What should I do if I want to change the phone number my OneNet DSL is installed on?

If you want to change your OneNet DSL phone number, please contact UTS first. We will need to place a new order for you in order to provide DSL service on your new phone number.


9. Do I have to pay in advance?
No, the monthly charges are billed on your telephone bill. Within maximum two month from the installation date you will receive your first bill.
We do not charge for installation.


10. How will I be charges for this service?
DSL Internet, DSL Voice bundle and Office DSL will be charged on a standard UTS monthly bill and the DSL Triple Play bundle will be charged partly on the standard UTS monthly bill and partly on the standard TDS monthly bill. The two separate charges will reflect the prices as mentioned in our advertising and on our website.


11. Can I install OneNet DSL Internet, DSL Voice or OneNet DSL Triple Play at my business?
The OneNet DSL bundles are for residential use. You can however request to have the service installed at your business.
